Jennifer J. Paul, Ph.D.,
Instructor, Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health, Department of Psychiatry, University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Paul is a licensed clinical psychologist who is the Program Coordinator for the Harris/ Catholic Charities Early Head Start Mental Health Consultation Program. This program provides classroom-based consultation supporting social-emotional development and individualized mental health services for children ages six weeks to three years, and their teachers and families. Dr. Paul is also the Clinical Program Director for the Postpartum Depression Intervention Program at The Children’s Hospital, which provides psychiatric evaluation and group therapeutic support for mothers experiencing postpartum mood disorders and their babies. Finally, Dr. Paul is the Clinical Coordinator at the Kempe Therapeutic Preschool, a psychiatric day treatment program for maltreated preschoolers. Dr. Paul is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a focus in Clinical Child Psychology. She completed her Clinical Internship at the Institute of Living/Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut, followed by Postdoctoral training as an Infant Mental Health Specialist at the Kempe Therapeutic Preschool and the Haven Mother’s House (a residential treatment community for women struggling with drug addiction who are pregnant or have infants) through the Irving Harris Program in Child Development and Infant Mental Health at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Paul teaches courses and is a supervising psychologist for postdoctoral fellows through the Harris Program at the University.
